LEGO Sennheiser HD25 DJ headphones designed by artist
The creator of the LEGO Pioneer CDJ 2000 Nexus and DJM 900 Nexus has now designed a set of headphones.
Hungarian designer Tamás Borján, who presents his LEGO concepts as Tomasso Builds, said his plans for the LEGO Sennheiser HD25 DJ headphones have “the mechanical features of its real counterpart”. The earphones and headband will be able to rotate in order to customise the fit.
“I thought the DJ equipment wouldn’t be complete without a nice pair of headphones,” Borján wrote on Instagram. “The Sennheiser HD25 is an iconic piece among DJs, it is beloved by a lot of users around the world. I was also using these while I was DJing.”
Borján next plans to build the LEGO Sennheiser headphones from 350 LEGO bricks now that he’s shared 3-D renderings of his designs.
Borján first shared his plans for LEGO DJ kit in July when he revealed his playable Pioneer CDJ 2000 Nexus concept for the LEGO Ideas platform, which gives creators the opportunity to submit designs for potential commercial products. Creators who receive 10,000 supporting votes will have their ideas considered for production. If successful, they’ll earn 1% of product royalties. So far, Tomasso Builds LEGO Ideas CDJ 2000 campaign has more than 8,200 supporters, putting him less than 1,800 votes away from official consideration.
Borján has also published designs for a LEGO Pioneer DJM 900 Nexus mixer, which you can watch him build in this video.
