Tomorrowland Brasil 2026 postponed following main stage fire
Tomorrowland Brasil has announced that the 2026 edition of the festival has been pushed back to 2027.
The primary reason for the postponement is the recent fire that destroyed the main stage at Tomorrowland Belgium this summer.
The burnt down stage, named ORBYZ, was originally planned to travel to Brazil for the 2026 edition, but this is no longer possible. Organisers are currently working on redesigning and rebuilding a suitable stage for 2027.
In the announcement published on the Tomorrowland site, organisers explained that with multiple editions of the festival taking place globally each year (including editions in Thailand and China), the Tomorrowland calendar leaves little room for adjustment or manoeuvre and that the only safe way for Tomorrowland Brasil to go ahead is to push back a year.
The fire that ripped through the Tomorrowland main stage just two days before the festival threatened to derail the 2025 edition. However, thanks to Metallica, who loaned Tomorrowland organisers stage parts from their recent European tour, the festival was able to go ahead with an adjusted design and updated set times. The cause of the fire is currently investigation by authorities.
