Helena Hauff announces new EP, ‘Living With Ladybirds’, on fabric Originals

Helena Hauff is back with a new EP called ‘Living With Ladybirds’ for fabric Originals. Listen to lead single ‘Touching Plastic’ below.

The four-track EP, out 11th November on vinyl and digital, is the powerhouse German DJ’s first release of the year and her first solo release since 2019’s ‘Living With Ants’ EP. As is typical for Hauff’s production, the record was made”strictly” with analogue equipment.

“I used to live with ants, now I live with ladybirds,” Hauff said about the EP.”Slight upgrade in insect poshness. And the record is about cats too!”

This is the third release on fabric’s new flagship Originals label. Eris & Octo Octa’s and DJ Bone’s early entries have are already out, with EPs from I. JORDAN & SHERELLE, LCY and Marcel Dettmann still to come through June 2023.

In 2021, Hauff released the collaborative ‘Futuros EP’ with the Exaltics and contributed to a Coldcut ambient compilation. Tresor tapped Hauff to mix the fifth volume in their ‘Kern’ series, on which she also released a joint track with Morah.

Check out the EP on Bandcamp, and listen to ‘Touch Plastic’.
