Fundraiser launched to support Chicago house vocalist Peven Everett’s cancer treatment

A fundraising campaign has been launched via GoFundMe to support the cancer treatment for Chicago house vocalist Peven Everett.

“Trying to raise money for my friend Peven who needs treatment for lung cancer, any donation will help. The cost of treatments are mounting,” said the GoFundMe text.

“Let’s give Peven some well-deserved life-saving flowers. He is in the process of treating, healing and creating. Any donation is appreciated.”

The fundraiser’s target is $100,000 and currently stands at $31,590.

A singer and house producer from Harvey, Illinois, Everett broke into the UK charts in 1996 with the Chicago house anthem, ‘Gabriel’, a collaboration with Roy Davis Jr. His voice has appeared on other house tracks such as ‘Feelin You In And Out’ and ‘Put Your Back Into It’.

In 2017, Everett collaborated with Gorillaz on ‘Strobelite’ and ‘Halfway To The Halfway House’ from their ‘Humanz’ album, also joining the group on tour.
