Wu-Tang Clan’s RZA announces limited-edition Crossley record player

Wu-Tang Clan’s RZA has announced a limited-edition Crossley record player.

Created in collaboration with Ballantine’s, the limited-edition item comprises a two-speed bespoke C6 record player and an accompanying Montero Bluetooth speaker. The turntable, which has been launched to celebrate the 50th anniversary of hip-hop, can play at both 33 1/3 and 45RPM and is available in black or white. The design was created in collaboration with RZA.

“My ’90s slogan was ‘keep it real’, and that’s what staying true is all about; live your life with no boundaries, break expectations and embrace what makes you, you,” said RZA in a press release.

“When I was up in the Highlands with Ballantine’s, I came to realise that making whisky is like making a song, you need the right amount of sweetness and punch to make a good blend. When the elements come together, it’s a harmony. Not only does this work for good whisky, but it also works for life too; if you celebrate your own journey and keep it real, you can do amazing things,” he continued.

The Ballantine’s x RZA Crossley record player is priced at €275 and is available to purchase from today (30th June). Go here to pick one up.

Last March, RZA teamed up with Grammy-winning producer DJ Scratch for a new collaborative album, ‘Saturday Afternoon Kung Fu Theater’.
