A trailer for The Weeknd’s upcoming film, in which he co-stars alongside Barry Keoghan and Jenna Ortega, has been released.

Described as a “musically-driven psychological thriller”, Hurry Up Tomorrow is directed by Trey Edward Shults and produced by The Weeknd, real name Abel Tesfaye, and his company Manic Phase.

In an interview with W Magazine, Shults said the film is about an artist “on the verge of a mental breakdown”. He meets this woman, and they go on this odyssey together. It’s a mix of psychological thriller and drama.”

Hurry Up Tomorrow serves as the accompanying film to Tesfaye’s new album of the same name, which came out last week week after being postponed by a week due to the wildfires in Los Angeles

To mark the release of the new album, Tesfaye will embark on a stadium tour of North America, which kicks off at State Farm Stadium in Phoenix, Arizona on 9th May and will finish at Alamodome in San Antonio, Texas on 3rd September. 

The ‘After Hours Til Dawn Tour’ will take in 26 dates in total, and Playboi Carti will support for most of the shows. Producer Mike Dean will also be a special guest. You can find a list of the shows here.
