Eliza Rose and The Trip collaborate on new track ‘Weekend’ via Defected

Eliza Rose and The Trip have teamed up for a new track.

‘Weekend’, which is out tomorrow (4th July) via Defected, was written by Rose and features London DJ and production duo The Trip, aka Max van Dijk and Oli Hiam.

Writing in a press release, Rose described the track as “an important moment” that marks a “new chapter” and “a really exciting new era” as she sets about exploring the sounds she loves.

“I am so so happy to share ‘Weekend’ with the world, it’s a song about being able to let go of inhibitions as the weekend approaches once again,” she continued. “I was trying to embody that exciting feeling of freedom, of heady anticipation about what shenanigans me and all my fellow party people will get up to on Friday, Saturday, summer, festivals and those long summer nights that turn into days.”

Earlier this year, Eliza Rose — who rose to fame for her 2022 viral hit ‘B.O.T.A. (Baddest Of Them All)’ — was featured on ‘I Heart You’, a track contained on the deluxe edition of Confidence Man’s 2024 LP ‘3AM (LA  LA LA)’.

Last year, she released her own ‘Business As Usual’ EP.
