Uzbekistan’s Sublimation Festival announces Bjarki, Nazira, Samantha Togni, more for debut edition

Uzbekistan’s Sublimation Festival has announced the first artists for its debut edition later this month (September).

Taking place over three days from 27th to 29th September at Culture Palace of Aircraft Builders, Bjarki, Nazira, Samantha Togni, and more will head to the capital of Tashkent to perform on the electronic stage of the 5,000-capacity festival, which will span talks and workshops as well as live and DJ sets.

The Main Stage will host performances from Adana Twins, Zen Gxrl, Less Feeling, Kadamique, and Trace. Berlin’s Refuge Worldwide will also host their Worldwide Radio Show at the festival.

Sublimation will also see performances that contribute “to a rich tapestry of sounds that highlights the diverse talent within Uzbekistan”. These artists include The National Orchestra of Uzbekistan, Sabina Mustaeva, Hayriniso, and the Doppi Twins.

An experimental stage will present a variety of avant-garde performances, committed to “pushing the boundaries of what music in Uzbekistan can be”.
