The Streets release new EP, ‘Brexit At Tiffany’s’, shares video for title track: Watch

The Streets have released a new EP, ‘Brexit At Tiffany’s’, and unveiled a new video to accompany the title single. Check it out below.

The release features three new songs from the mind of Mike Skinner. The title track is an understated anti-ballad, with Skinner’s spoken word monologue set to soulful vocals from Jazz Morley. Its video was produced and directed by Skinner.

“’Brexit at Tiffany’s’ is a song about how the end of a relationship can be as messy as leaving Europe! ‘We don’t belong to each other: he’s an independent, and so am I’. Add into that a lot of blue and green and the whole thing feels like nostalgia before it’s happened,” Skinner said of the new offering.

The full EP, which has arrived via seminal UK label Island Records, also includes ‘3 Minutes To Midnight’, a low-end rumbling effort featuring Manga Saint Hilare, and closing number ‘Test of Time’. Listen to the full EP below.

Earlier this year, The Streets’ debut album, ‘Original Pirate Material’, received a special edition re-release to mark the record’s 20th anniversary. Meanwhile, in January fans were treated to ‘Wrong Answers Only’ featuring Master Peace, Skinner’s first new material since last year’s LP, ‘The Streets’, which was released under his side project alias, The Darker The Shadow The Brighter The Light.
