Swedish House Mafia tease new era with cryptic social media post
Swedish House Mafia have hinted at something new on the horizon, wiping their website and social media account aside from a single cryptic post.
Simply captioned ‘3.0’, the post was shared yesterday (Wednesday, 11th June) via Instagram, and was accompanied by a shadowy image of the group’s three members, dressed all in black.
There is no further context, but it appears to confirm that the group have new music on the way and are ready to begin a new album era following 2022 debut album ‘Paradise Again’. A significant success for the trio, that record marked their full return to touring as they headed out on their first global run of shows in almost a decade.
The trio are due to headline Tomorrowland next month, so those sets may present an opportunity for them to debut new material and fully launch what comes next.
In April, Swedish House Mafia launched new label SUPERHUMAN, while two-thirds of the trio, Sebastian Ingrosso and Steve Angello, released the single ‘No Enemies’.
Last year, Angello revealed the trio had finished a follow-up to ‘Paradise Again’, but scrapped it to put out singles instead.
