Sisu collective to host fourth anniversary party in Liverpool this weekend

News

Sisu collective will host their fourth-anniversary party in Liverpool this weekend.

A community providing a platform to educate, inspire and showcase aspiring women and non-binary DJs and producers, the collective hosted a fourth birthday event at London’s Cafe 1001 earlier this month.

Now, a second, two-venue party takes place in Liverpool tomorrow (Friday, August 27th). Hosted at Meraki during the daytime (3 PM-10 PM), and North Shore Troubadour at night (10 PM to 4AM) the event will feature appearances by Sisu resident DJs including Airali, Bouji Boi, Calaida, EMR and more. See the full line-up below.

“When we set up Sisu 4 years ago we set out to educate and inspire women and NB DJs,” said Sisu. “It’s so amazing to see this vision come to life in so many ways.”

“It was so good to be partying in Cafe 1001 in London last weekend, we cannot wait to bring our crew to Liverpool. Some of them are visiting and playing in the city for the first time which is super exciting. The music will be a whole bag of eclecticism throughout the day at Meraki, leading into more stompier sounds in the evening at North Shore Troubadour.”

Earlier this summer, a database platforming non-binary artists and creative figures has been shared online to mark Non-Binary Awareness Week.
