Silkie launches Bedroom Rat Records with EP as Solomon Rose: Listen

Silkie has launched a new label called Bedroom Rat Records.

Its inaugural release, ‘BRR001’, features two UK garage tracks by Silkie himself and will be released under the producer’s birth name, Solomon Rose. The first cut, ‘Dance For Me’, looks to 2-step UK garage rhythms while the other track, ‘TFC’, follows a four-on-the-floor rhythmic structure.

Silkie has said that he wants to use the new label to showcase music from outside of the 140-BPM-based dubstep bracket that people have come to know him for. The label itself, he added, is a homage to his UK garage origins, having first put out that music, as well as grime, before breaking through further with his dubstep productions.

In 2021, Silkie released his third album for Deep Medi, ‘Panorama’.
