SHERELLE, Adam Beyer and Flava D are among the acts locked for the opening weekend of Tobacco Dock’s virtual festival.
Last month, London party and festival promoter, LWE, announced a new, virtual hybrid music event at their usual stomping ground of Tobacco Dock.
Now, they’ve announced the full line-up for the the forthcoming opening weekend, which will take place on Friday 2nd & Saturday 3rd April 2021, and is completely free-to-attend across all platforms and devices. The events will run from 8PM until 2AM, and over 40 artists will perform across four arenas hosted by the likes of Hospitality, Keep Hush and Mr. Afterparty.
On Friday, guests at the virtual event can expect a techno takeover, with sets from the likes of Adam Beyer, Emerald, Enzo Siragusa and Patrick Topping. On Saturday, it’s a drum & bass special, and LWE invites Angel D’Lite, Hooversound Recordings co-founder SHERELLE, Chase & Status, Flava D, Tim Reaper and Wilkinson to perform in the VR dock.
Developed with Sansar, a virtual live events platform, Tobacco Dock VR will be available to access on mobile, Mac and Windows operating systems, PC or VR headsets. Live-stream and media partner, Beatport, will also broadcast sets across Facebook, Youtube, Twitch and Beatport.com.
“TDv is our next step in the evolution of LWE and the development of our long-term event concepts where we see virtual worlds sitting alongside the real world,” Paul Jack, director at LWE, said in a press release. “Tobacco Dock has hosted some of our most exciting shows and led the way in the UK for vast daytime events. This next step on our journey will pave the way for hybrid events within a fully immersive digital and physical space, providing a huge new platform to showcase music.”
