Premiere: Pluralist & Obake ‘Giggle’

Premiere: Pluralist & Obake ‘Giggle’

Pluralist and Obake have teamed up for a new two-tracker, ‘Giggle / Siren’, on Welsh label Typeless. Have an exclusive first listen to ‘Giggle’ below.

Following a mighty solo EP for Club Djembe earlier this year, Bristol-based Pluralist enlists anonymous producer Obake for a double offering of breakneck rave badness. Out tomorrow (14th August), ‘Giggle’ promises to cause a ruckus in the club, combining tripped-out percussion and deconstructed, robotic vocals with a menacing bass buzz, whilst ‘Siren’ taps into more sci-fi sensibilities with hair-raising low-end textures and powerful broken beats.

Pluralist – real name Will Bowen – took to Instagram earlier this month to announce the EP, which he describes as “two very lairy tracks made with a very good & old friend of mine under a different alias.”

“Those who know me well will know how long I’ve been trying to get these out and I’m super excited they’re coming out on typeless,” he added.

‘Giggle / Siren’ is out tomorrow (14th August) on Typeless. Pre-save the EP here, and have an exclusive first listen to ‘Giggle’ below.
