Logic1000 shares new single, ‘toldmyself’: Listen
Logic1000 is back with a new single, ‘toldmyself’. Listen to it below.
Released via Therapy / Because Music, ‘toldmyself’ is driven by a tight, snappy percussion line, subtle deep house grooves and a lush vocal line. Taking a restrained, less-is-more approach, it uses a few key elements to maximum effect. It arrives a month after her previous single, ‘i couldn’t hold back’ with George Riley.
Speaking on the new single, Logic1000 commented: “‘toldmyself’ is sonically in touch with some of the earliest logic music. I’d say it’s a bit of a throwback to that period of time. No matter how much time passes I really can’t stray from an organ bassline. I’ve always wanted to make a track that puts you into a false sense of security and then surprises you with a slamming vocal line out of nowhere.”
The new single arrives ahead of an appearance at berlioz presents deep in it in Finsbury Park alongside Moodymann this Sunday, 3rd August.
In March, Logic1000 joined the long run of contributors to the !K7 DJ-Kicks mix series.
Last year, Logic1000 released her debut album, ‘Mother’. You can read DJ Mag’s review of the album here.
