On the back of a belter summer of DJ sets across his native France and beyond, the Lyon-based DJ and producer is readying a new suite of stylish dub hybrids for Artisjok Records. ‘Footnote Player’ – out tomorrow (Friday, 18th October) – darts effortlessly between more chilled-out and propulsive modes, blending dub-infused grooves, razor-sharp basslines and laidback broken beat percussion across four sweltering cuts.

The project follows the producer’s recent ec2a two-tracker, ‘Link Up’, alongside German rap newcomer Vitus04 and H3 Records founder Kaba. He also recently celebrated a milestone 50 shows on Rinse FM France, where he spotlights killer dubstep and techno sounds from around the globe every month. The verdict? Hyas is only just getting started.
