Orbital announce career-spanning ‘A Beginner’s Guide’ anthology
Orbital have announced a career-spanning anthology. ‘A Beginner’s Guide’ will land on vinyl, CD and digital via London Records on 8th November.
Featuring music released over more than three decades, classic singles such as ‘Chime‘, ‘Halcyon’ and ‘Belfast’ sit alongside the Angelo Badalamenti soundtrack collaboration, ‘Bleached’, and more recent work including ‘Ringa Ringa‘ and ‘Dirty Rat’. See the full tracklist below.
This is now the second major anthology Orbital have released since reuniting with London Records, beginning with ‘30 Something‘ in 2022. That collection was followed by last year’s studio album,’Optical Delusion‘, giving the seminal UK electronic duo their first UK Album Chart Top 10 since 1999’s ‘Middle of Nowhere’.
Earlier this year, Orbital’s landmark 1991 debut record, ‘The Green Album‘, was reissued, and their mammoth Green + Brown Album Tour began. So far, dates have included New York City, Chicago, Coachella, Ultra Miami and Glastonbury festivals. Two US shows remain before a winter break, The Medway in San Francisco and Seismic Dance Event, Austin, Texas, both in November. Meanwhile, 2025 will see the pair play events in Amsterdam, Paris, Belfast, Glasgow, Leeds and London — you can find a full schedule below the track list.
