Massive Attack donate £10,000 to NHS staff and frontline workers crowdfunder

News

Massive Attack have donated £10,000 to The Bristol Food Union’s crowdfunding campaign, which aims to provide free meals to NHS staff and other frontline workers during the coronavirus pandemic.

The legendary Bristrolian band helped the union of restaurateurs, farmers and growers smash its target of £20,000 for the Feed The Frontline campaign. “The Bristol restaurant community want to make sure that all frontline workers delivering long and difficult hours don’t have to worry about cooking healthy, nutritious meals for themselves or their families” the union’s JustGiving page reads.

“While our restaurants are closed, we have created secure production kitchens around Bristol. Each day we will cook as many meals as we can afford and make them available to frontline staff completely free of charge.”

You can still donate to Feed The Frontline here.

Massive Attack were scheduled to headline this year’s All Points East festival in London. The festival has since been postponed due to coronavirus.
