Jay-Z has been inducted into the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame.

Following in the footsteps of The Notorious B.I.G., Tupac and N.W.A and Public Enemy, Brooklyn-born Jay-Z is the most recent hip-hop artist to be inducted into the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame, after the inductees were revealed earlier this week.

Alongside singer-songwriter Carole King, Foo Fighters, The Go-Go’s, Todd Rundgren and Tina Turner, Jay-Z makes up the 2021 performers list, with electronic group Kraftwerk and blues musician Charley Patton recieving awards for Early Influences.

Earlier this week week it was announced that Jay-Z has reportedly filed a new trademark for a TV and film production company.

Elsewhere in Jay-Z’s business portfolio, he sold streaming platform Tidal to Twitter CEO Jack Dorsey back in March, for a price of $279m.

It was also revealed last year that the rapper was posting bail and paying fines for protestors in Wisconsin, after the death of 17-year-old Black teenager Alvin Cole, who was shot and killed outside a Wauwatosa mall in February 2020.
