Interplanetary Criminal announces Locked On Records compilation featuring Todd Edwards, Main Phase, more
Interplanetary Criminal has curated a new compilation showcasing the very best of new UK garage for legendary label Locked On Records.
Spanning 15 tracks, ‘All Thru The Night’ takes in new tracks from the likes of Main Phase, Todd Edwards, Bakey, Perception, Frazer Ray, Holloway and Interplanetary Criminal himself. The release, which is out on 29th March, also comes with artwork by cult Manchester-based designer DONKWEAR.
Speaking about the compilation, Interplanetary Criminal said: “The garage scene is thriving. I wanted to make sure every crucial artist from all sides of the UK garage scene was featured; from the moment it started popping off in 2019 to now. When I reached out to people, I told them the brief was to ‘make the most authentic UK garage record that you could’ and that’s what they’ve done.
“‘All Thru the Night’ shows the underground side, the dark side and the bubblier side of the current UK garage sound. For people that haven’t heard a garage record before, if they wanted an introduction to the sound now, this is the compilation for it.”
To mark the compilation’s announcement, Interplanetary Criminal has shared a new track called ‘Don’t Hurt Me’, which features Manchester band Porij. Speaking about the track, the group said: “Lyrically, this track’s all about letting go of reservations and allowing yourself to be vulnerable. I hope people take this uninhibited energy to the dance floor.”
