Grime exhibition to open at Museum of London this summer

A new exhibition about grime is opening at the Museum of London this summer.

Launching on 17th June, Grime Stories: From The Corner To The Mainstream will explore the history of the genre with a spotlight on East London, the place of its conception some 20 years ago.

Co-produced by Roony “Risky Roadz” Keefe, who was a key figure in the early years of grime, the exhibition will feature films – including an interview grime MC and producer Jammer about his fabled basement, the Dungeon – as well as personal items from key artists, and much more.

The exhibition will also feature footage of trailblazing artists Skepta and DJ Slimzee, as well as taking into account the game-changing impact of Rinse FM. See some photos below.

Grime Stories: from the corner to the mainstream will be open every day from 10am (GMT) through to 5pm (GMT) from 17th June. Entry to the museum and the exhibition will be free. Full details can be found on the Museum of London’s website.
