Gorillaz have shared the fourth episode of the ongoing Song Machine series.

After teasing the release earlier this week, French-British artist Octavian has joined the virtual band members in Episode 4, a track titled ‘Friday 13th’, following on from Tony Allen and London grime staple, Skepta, who released ‘How Far’ alongside Gorillaz earlier this year.

The Damon Albarn-fronted digital band first announced  the Song Machine project earlier this year. They shared the first instalment, ‘Momentary Bliss’, featuring Northampton-born rapper slowthai and Slaves in February, and another track with Malian musician, Fatoumata Diawara, shortly after.

Last week, Gorillaz members 2-D, Murdoc, Noodle, and Russel, shared a statement addressing systematic racism via Instagram, in response to the death of George Floyd.
