DJ Mag Top 100 Clubs 2022 voting now open
Voting is now open for the annual DJ Mag Top 100 Clubs poll. You can vote here.
Top 100 Clubs is a celebration of the world’s definitive dancefloors, ranked entirely by votes from DJ Mag’s global audience. More than 600,000 verified votes were counted in last year’s poll.
Top 100 Clubs typically runs from December-April, but has been delayed due to the impact of the Covid-19 pandemic. Now, as restrictions ease and the electronic music world opens up again, clubs in many countries are gladly returning to some semblance of normality.
Voting opened on 9th March at 12:00 GMT and runs until 11th May at 23:59 BST. The results will be revealed in the special bumper July issue of DJ Mag, in the shops at the end of June.
Last year, Echostage in Washington DC pipped the shuttered Green Valley in Brazil to the No.1 slot, but will they hang onto the top spot again this year?
Clubs in North America and Asia gained places at the expense of European clubs in 2021 — two-thirds of North American clubs went up, while 77% of Asian clubs were up or new to the poll.
Five of Asia’s seven new entries last year came from China, including the Highest New Entry award for the Guangzhou wing of superclub chain Space Plus. The Foshan-based Club Galame, meanwhile, was the Highest Climber last year, up a whopping 42 places.
After two seasons were effectively cancelled on the White Isle, 63% of Ibiza clubs were down in last year’s ranking. But with the season starting early this year, will favoured Ibiza destinations make a big return?
And how will clubs in Croatia, Germany, Brazil, the UK, Singapore, South Africa, or any other country in the world fare this year? The outcomes are in the hands of DJ Mag readers worldwide.
DJ Mag is encouraging voters to consider the scene as a whole when casting their votes. As such, 2021’s rule change — which made it possible for fans to vote for any club worldwide, including those who are still unable to open due to the pandemic — is returning for the 2022 poll. Previous rules stated that clubs had to have been open within the last 12 months to qualify.
At the end of the voting process, all voters will be invited to support DJ Mag’s fundraiser for the people of Ukraine affected by the war.
