Apple Music launches 24-hour dance and electronic music radio station

Apple has unveiled a major addition to its radio programming: Apple Music Club, a 24/7 station dedicated to dance and electronic music.

The new channel is part of a broader expansion that includes two additional stations, Apple Music Chill and Apple Música Uno, and joins the platform’s existing Apple Music 1, Apple Music Hits and Apple Music Country.

Apple Music Club promises round-the-clock mixes from some big names in electronic scene. Launch programming includes exclusive sets by Honey Dijon, Jamie xx, FKA twigs and Nia Archives, alongside mixes curated by renowned festivals and brands such as CircoLoco, Tomorrowland, fabric and The Warehouse Project. Apple Music stalwarts Tim Sweeney and NAINA will act as hosts, providing context for each mix while guiding listeners through the station’s programming.

“Dance and electronic music have been at the core of my life, and I’m excited to help listeners dive into the energy, history, and creativity of club culture around the world,” said Sweeney, who is also behind the Beats In Space show.

Hooversound co-founder NAINA added, “To be involved in a brand-new station which spotlights all the incredible curators, festivals, club nights, labels around the globe is hugely exciting because the catalogue is forever growing.”

Honey Dijon also expressed her pride in helping to present house music to a global audience. “I come from the south side of Chicago and I never imagined that house music would become a global phenomenon,” she said. “To be able to take my culture and the club culture that I grew up in and share that with the world is something that I’ve never thought was possible… It’s an honour to be able to present house music to a global audience on Apple Music Radio.”

Apple Music Club launched with Inner City’s iconic track ‘Big Fun’ and will feature on-demand access to all DJ mixes through Apple Music’s DJ Mixes tab. Jamie xx’s show, derived from recordings at his 10-day club event The Floor in London, will spotlight collaborations with some of his favourite DJs and artists. “I’m so glad to be able to have all these sets here in one place for listeners on Apple Music,” he said.

The two other stations debuting alongside Apple Music Club cater to different moods and audiences. Apple Music Chill offers a continuous flow of ambient and downtempo tracks, with curated shows from Brian Eno, Stephan Moccio and Zane Lowe. Meanwhile, Apple Música Uno focuses on Latin music, spanning genres like reggaetón, cumbia and Latin pop, with Latin superstar Becky G as its launch host.

“Apple Music Radio is the beating heart of our service, representing the intersection of exceptional human voices and curation with cutting-edge technology that shapes and influences culture,” said Oliver Schusser, Apple’s vice president of Music, Sports and Beats.

Listeners can access Apple Music Radio for free without a subscription, available across Apple devices and on the web at music.apple.com.
