Ahadadream, Priya Ragu and Skrillex release highly-anticipated single, ‘TAKA’: Listen

Ahadadream has joined forces with Priya Ragu and Skrillex for a new single, ‘TAKA’. Listen to it below.

Out now via More Time, the song was nearly two years in the making with Ahadadream and Skrillex having initially sketched out ideas for it over Zoom amid the COVID-19 pandemic. A year later, when they were both able to meet in a London studio together, Priya Ragu joined them and an early version of the song was finally laid down.

It was later road-tested in the DJ sets of the likes of Four Tet and Chris Lake during early 2023 before Ahadadream, Skrillex and Ragu arrived at the final version of the cut now ready for release.

“‘TAKA’ had started building in the clubs thanks to Chris Lake and Four Tet already,” Ahadream said,” and then it went viral on my Boiler Room.” He played the song towards the end of the broadcast last September and it was reloaded by Skrillex, giving it a status as a sought-after track ID.

Speaking further about the new track, Ragu added: “What we all connected with most was Chin mudra, a symbol of inner peace and tranquility, that resonated with our feeling of being okay.”

Listen to ‘TAKA’ below.

Last year, Ahadadream released the two-track EP ‘Sax Skank / Crunchy’ via his More Time label.
