John Krasinski, the actor, director and philanthropist best known for his role as Jim in the US Office is DJing a virtual prom this weekend, live from quarantine.

Given that the coronavirus pandemic has left American high school seniors without a prom to go to, Krasinski, as part of his “Some Good News” YouTube show, has decided to take it upon himself to create a virtual version.

Tonight (17th April) from 8pm EST, Krasinski and Friends will be doing a live streamed DJ set via the Some Good News channel (below). “First of all… you’re welcome. Second of all I can’t take it anymore how much you are all missing your prom. So let’s do something about it! Let’s have an #SGNprom ! Yup, I’ll DJ with some friends on Friday 8 EST/5 PST,” he wrote on Instagram, along with a picture from his own prom.
