Nia Archives shares new single, ‘Maia Maia’, featuring Clipz: Listen
Nia Archives has released a new collaborative single with fellow drum & bass and jungle producer Clipz. Watch the Lauzza-directed video for the new single below.
‘Maia Maia’ marks the second link-up between the duo after 2022’s ‘No Time’, which also featured Beenie Man, Cristale, and ShaSimone. The new cut combines their signature breaks-based sound with sampled samba chants.
In a statement, Nia Archives said: “Clipz and I wanted to capture some Brazilian junglist energy with ‘Maia Maia’, drawing inspiration from legends like DJ Patife and DJ Marky. When we hit the studio, our vision was to create a track that could feel like the soundtrack to the 2026 World Cup. I’d come across this incredible samba group sample, paired it with an old Juno-106 I’d just picked up, and from there, ‘Maia Maia’ was born.”
Earlier this year, Nia Archives launched her own label, Up Ya Archives. Its first release was ‘Get Loose’, a collaboration between her and Cheetah.
