Outkast announce ‘Stankonia’ 25th anniversary expanded vinyl edition
Outkast have announced a 25th anniversary deluxe reissue of ‘Stankonia’ on vinyl. The triple-LP package is slated for release on 31st October via Legacy Recordings.
Originally released in 2000, the Atlanta hip-hop act’s fourth album marked their commercial breakthrough at the time, embracing elements of gospel and funk as well as rave music, rock and psychedelia, securing a slew of hit singles in the process. These included ‘Ms. Jackson’, ‘So Fresh, So Clean’, and ‘B.O.B. (Bombs Over Baghdad)’
The celebratory special edition will include a number of bonus tracks such as ‘Speed Ballin’, ‘Sole Sunday’ featuring Goodie Mob, and fresh takes on ‘B.O.B.’ courtesy of Cutmaster Swift and Beat Bullies.
One-half of Outkast alongside Big Boi, André 3000 has designed brand new artwork for the release, which will be accompanied by original photos captured 25 years ago when the duo were touring to support the long player.

In April, Outkast were inducted into the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame. Last year, André 3000 revealed the two-piece were “further away from new music than we’ve ever been“.
