London listening bar MOKO announces it is to close next month
London listening bar MOKO is set to close next month.
The audio bar was launched by Rhythm Section founder Bradley Zero and producer Nathanael Williams in Tottenham last August. MOKO operated as a sister venue to the pair’s Peckham-based listening bar, JUMBI, which opened in 2022.
MOKO is located on Tottenham’s Markfield Road, where former club Five Miles and the independent food and events space, Cravings, also previously took up residence. “The venue builds on the legacy of previous local institutions in its place… to provide a much-needed space for the communities in and around the area,” Zero and Williams previously said of the venue.
“After an incredible year of events, we’re approaching the final chapter of our time in Tottenham. Starting this week, regular daytime trading hours and restaurant operations at MOKO will conclude,” they wrote in an Instagram post on Wednesday (14th August).
Scheduled events will go ahead as planned with “special anniversary events” in the pipeline. A reason for the closure was not provided.
