Top 100 DJs Awards 2020 date announced

News

The dates have been announced for 2020’s DJ Mag Top 100 DJs results announcement. This year’s poll winners will be unveiled on Saturday 7th November via a full social media countdown across DJ Mag’s Instagram and Twitter pages, a live countdown on DJMag.com, plus a very special virtual event, presented by AMF, featuring exclusive performances from The World’s No.1 DJ winner and other leading artists from the poll. Watch the event on AMF.TV.

In recognition of our ten year partnership with ALDA and AMF, the virtual awards ceremony broadcast will take place in unique locations across Amsterdam, the city where The World’s No.1 DJ would usually be crowned on the main stage of AMF in front of 40,000 fans.

Despite the clear impact of the pandemic, dance music fans from around the globe turned out in force for their favourite artists. Buoyed by our Top 100 DJs Virtual Festival series, just under 1.3 million people voted in the DJ Mag Top 100 DJs 2020 poll, almost equalling the previous record set in 2019.

The Top 100 DJs announcement will be followed on Sunday 8th November with the countdown of the Alternative Top 100 DJs, powered by Beatport, a sister poll that uses Top 100 DJs voting data alongside insights from Beatport to recognise the achievements of house and techno DJs. Typically the Alternative Top 100 results land several weeks after the main poll, but in 2020, for the first time, they will take place across the same weekend. A social media countdown across DJ Mag’s Instagram and Twitter pages, as well as a live countdown on DJMag.com, will be joined by an exclusive broadcast from The World’s No.1 house and techno DJ.
