‘90s jungle and drum & bass classics and rarities gathered on new compilation, ‘Who Say Reload Volume One’: Listen

A new compilation album hosting a selection of the most respected and influential tracks from the ‘90s jungle and drum & bass scene has been released. Check it out below.

The ‘Who Say Reload’ album was compiled by author Paul Terzelli, who wrote the ‘Who Say Reload: The Stories Behind the Classic Drum & Bass Records of the 90s’ book – an oral history of the records that defined the scene published through Velocity Press.

The compilation dives into the genre’s ‘90s golden era, including tracks from artists like Nookie, Chimeira, DJ Nut Nut and Rude Bwoy Monty.  The 16 tracks are spread over two volumes of 12”s, along with a 13-track digital version.

Volume One of the compilation is out now, with Volume Two set to be released 24th March.

In other jungle and drum and bass news, ‘JUNGLIST’ the first novel based on London’s early ‘90s jungle scene went to print in 2021. A Kickstarter was also set up last December to fund the publishing of a new book exploring the intersection of ‘90s rave culture and activism

You can order the vinyl of Volume One here.  Check out some of the tracks featured on the album below.
