TUJAMO BRINGS THE HEAT ON REMIX OF CLASSIC TUNE 'SAMIRS THEME'
Always on the look for a new festival anthem, Tujamo did not have to look very far for this one. ‘Samir’s Theme’ has been a DJ’s favorite ever since its original release in 2007. A steady crowdpleaser used by DJs like Chuckie, David Guetta, Laidback Luke, and A-Trak, it’s always remained a record that sparks up the party, not in the least due to its rousing horn samples.
And, well, if there’s an artist that knows his way with rousing sounds, it’s Tujamo. The German DJ/producer has actually been around in the club and festival scene since the days the original track was released but really started to make waves when he released hit records like ‘Drop That Low (When I Dip)’, ‘Booty Bounce’, ‘With U’, the Steve Aoki collab ‘Boneless’ and many more tunes that can easily be labeled as upwinding.
So, now he’s gotten his hands on a record that seems to be made for him. ‘Samir’s Theme’ is dominated by a maddening horns sample, and provides instant gratification when played to a full dancefloor. Especially in this brand new guise, where the samples are enhanced by Tujamo’s forceful beats and pumping bass lines while working up towards a climax that should easily last another decade.
