T.H.E Interview – Avious

Hailing from Dallas & as his international rise continues, Avious drops his latest A New World EP.

A four track workout, loaded with his trademark sound & signed to Miami’s legendary Juicy Music. We caught up with Avious to find out more about his latest release, inspirations & future plans!

T.H.E – A warm welcome, Avious! How’s life in Dallas right now?

Avious – Dallas is great! It’s been a really hot Summer but we’ve been pushing through!

T.H.E – Having just released your A New World EP, when did you first start production on the four tracks?

Avious – As a producer who’s just getting started, I’ve been working really hard to find my sound and see what works. My motivation for releasing music and being able to play them inferno of crowds was strong, so I decided to start working on a very special project. Over the past year, I’ve been focusing on achieving this goal by starting with what you now know as: A New World EP.

T.H.E – With a melodic & driving feel on the EP, how would you describe your sound to our readers?

Avious – I would describe my sound as an experience. I want anyone to turn on any of my tracks and close their eyes. After doing so, the music is a pathway to another reality that takes them in a journey. Each sound is chosen with a purpose that should activate the mind and take them to a new world. I’m really proud of how the tracks turned out I believe they certainly did the job 🙂

T.H.E – Having released on the legendary Juicy Music previously, what led to the start of this exciting relationship?

Avious – Funny story, I have actually been listening to Robbie Rivera’s podcast of his selected tracks called “Juicy Radio” since I was a kid. Once I started to learn how to produce, we reached out and from there it was history!

T.H.E – What’s the scene like in Dallas & is there a particular club or venue that stands out from the rest?

Avious – The Dallas scene is very live. Anywhere you go you will meet genuine people that are ready for a good time. So far, I’ve had the privilege to DJ at Komodo Dallas, Waterproof, and Bottled Blonde. Each venue carries a different and exciting experience for their guests, and I enjoy each and every one!

T.H.E – Are there plans for any potential remixes of your EP to follow?

Avious – I’m very excited to announce a jam packed album filled with intricate melodies, beautiful vocals, and more! Coming with the album is an extended release of all the tracks PLUS remixes from other artists!

T.H.E – Finally, what words of advice would you offer to other aspiring artists?

Avious – Advice I would offer is: Don’t give up and never stop trying. Nothing ever happens until you make it happen. Opportunities only opened for me once I started putting in the time and effort to achieve my lifelong dream of being a famous DJ. Don’t give up and do what you do best.
