Worst Behavior Recs is shutting down

Independent New York City label Worst Behavior Recs is saying goodbye.

In a statement shared via social media on Thursday, 16th May, the imprint – run by Anna Morgan and Bell Curve – confirmed that it will no longer be releasing music. Although no reason was given for the decision, the post reads: “We will both be continuing our own personal projects in music.”

“It has been a great honour to release music from so many talented producers, host amazing DJs, and spend special nights dancing with you all,” the label continued. “However, all things come to an end. We may not be doing any more Worst Behavior Releases, but the Worst Behavior ethos lives on: Push boundaries, defy categorisation, dare to play and make what you want, be true to yourself, and have fun with it!”

Worst Behavior Recs launched in 2018. Since then, it’s released music from the likes of Bastiengoat, Nikki Nair, Yunna, and more. Read DJ Mag’s 2021 feature on Worst Behavior Recs, and listen to the accompanying mix of tracks from its catalogue.
