upsammy announces ambient album, ‘Strange Meridians’, shares ‘Edge Of Sleep’: Listen

upsammy has revealed details of an upcoming ambient album, ‘Strange Meridians’. Lead single ‘Edge of Sleep’ is available to stream below.

The eight-track release will land via new Amsterdam imprint topo2 on 22nd November.  With ‘Strange Meridians’, the Amsterdam-based producer and multidisciplinary artist follows up last year’s ‘Germ in a Population of Buildings’, a release that explored her fascination with fluid, ever-changing environments and the discovery of unusual patterns within them.

Earlier this year, upsammy contributed to Die Orakel’s ten-year anniversary compilation. She’s set to perform at Tromsø’s Insomnia Festival alongside Valentina Magaletti, as well as Amsterdam’s Garage Noord, later this month.

upsammy’s teaming up with topo2 follows on from her work with the likes of Rotterdam’s Nous’klaer Audio, who released her 2019 mini-LP ‘Wild Chamber’ and ‘Another Place’ EP. For more on Nous’klaer, check out DJ Mag’s interview with label founder Oberman here.
