Brighton music college WaterBear has teamed up with Carl Cox to offer a £15,000 scholarship to an Electronic Music & Business student.

The course begins in September of this year, and one enrolled student will receive equipment to the value of £15,000 in order to help support their music projects and career goals as part of the scholarship. The course itself can be studied on-site in Brighton, or online via remote learning from anywhere in the world.

Speaking about his involvement in the scholarship, Cox said: “I’m really excited to support WaterBear – The College of Music in providing this scholarship award and contributing to someone’s career journey in music. Hopefully this will help the creative process and lead to some great new electronic music that we can all enjoy.”

The deadline to submit an application for the Carl Cox Scholarship is Friday, 20th August. You can find all of the details on how to apply here.

WaterBear first announced its new Electronic Music & Business course back in February.

Carl Cox is also due to be heading to Brighton this July, with a performance on the seafront scheduled to coincide with club Concorde 2’s 21st birthday celebrations.
