Bou releases 31-track ‘B-Sides Mixtape’: Listen

Bou has dropped a 31-track ‘B-Sides Mixtape’.

The Manchester drum & bass artist created the album in the wake of his father’s passing, having taken his late father’s advice to begin releasing more of his music. “Losing my dad hit me and my family very hard, but it also got me thinking about all the advice he’d given me over the years, which I admittedly hadn’t listened to! He always told me I was sitting on too many tunes and needed to get more of my music out in the world – so this project is just that”, he wrote in a press statement.

Bou characterises the 31 tracks on ‘B-Sides Mixtape’ as “all quality”, calling them “a statement” of his hard work and his dad’s admiration for what he does. “I’ve been sitting on so much music for years and after everything that happened, I stopped overthinking and just decided to let it all go. This is the raw side of what I do,” he said.

Back in 2023, Bou sampled Robert Miles’ ‘Children’ for the track ‘Closer’.  The ‘B-Sides Mixtape’ follows the ‘Raving in the Studio’ single from earlier this year and 2024’s ‘Wicked & Dark’ with IRAH, Kanine and Trigga.
