Traxman announces new Planet Mu album, ‘Da Mind of Traxman Vol.3’

Leading Chicago footwork figure Traxman has a new album on the way via Planet Mu.

Marking his first full-length release with the UK label in a decade, ‘Da Mind Of Traxman Vol. 3’ follows 2014’s ‘Da Mind Of Traxman Vol. 2’, though the producer has been DJing regularly and releasing lots of other material, as well as getting involved in online workshops on music production, in the intervening period.

This latest release was A&R’d and mixed by fellow Planet Mu artist Sinjin Hawke, who helped piece together the tracklist from hundreds of archival Traxman tracks dating back to 2005.

Speaking about ‘Da Mind Of Traxman’, Hawke said in a statement: “This album series is important and holds real documentarian value – working on it feels like the modern equivalent of curating a piece of Miles Davis’ catalog in the ’60s and ’70s.”

Planet Mu will release the full album on 7th February. You can preview the release by listening to lead track ‘I Want U To Ghost’ below.
