Tomorrowland pays tribute to Avicii at 2025 festival 10 years after his final headline performance
Tomorrowland’s immersive Avicii tribute experience opened at the festival today.
A decade after his unforgettable final performance on the Tomorrowland Main Stage, Tomorrowland is honouring the late Swedish DJ with a heartfelt tribute at this year’s festival in Boom, Belgium.
The installation – which opened this afternoon (18th July) – features never-before-seen images and A/V displays commemorating the EDM star, who made his first appearance at Tomorrowland in 2011. During that set, he treated fans to the first ever play of ‘Levels’, a track that would prove to be one of his biggest hits.
Tomorrowland’s organisers have warned that space at the Avicii Forever: The Tribute experience are limited and that reservations, which can be made here, will be required. Find out more information below.
Avicii’s final performance at Tomorrowland came in 2015, three years before his tragic death by suicide in 2018. That same year, the crowd paid tribute the beloved musician, spreading a large Swedish flag emblazoned with his image into the audience during Nicky Romero’s main stage set.
In addition to the 2025 festival installation, Tomorrowland have teamed up with Apple Music to release Avicii’s most iconic sets from the event in spatial audio. Find out more and listen to them here.
A new Avicii compilation landed in May via Interscope, comprising 19 essential tracks from the late artist’s repertoire.
Last month, Avicii fans were invited to contribute to a new children’s mental health book, set to be released by the Tim Bergling Foundation. A major advocate of mental health services and interventions in Sweden, the foundation was established in 2019 following Avicii’s tragic deah by suicide at the age of 28.
