Salamanda announce new album, ‘In Parallel’, on Wisdom Teeth

Salamanda are back with a new album called ‘In Parallel’, out in November. Listen to lead track ‘Homemade Jam’ below.

The Seoul duo of Uman Therma (AKA Sala) and Yetsuby (AKA Manda) will release their fourth LP on Facta and K-LONE’s Bristol-based label Wisdom Teeth on 3rd November. The ten-track album builds upon their shift to incorporating vocals, bridging Salamanda’s sound with pop, according to the press release.

Salamanda previously released the ‘ashbalkum’ LP in 2022 via Human Pitch, 2021’s ‘Sphere’ on Métron Records and their 2020 debut ‘Allez!’ on Good Morning Tapes.

In November last year, Salamanda first appeared on Wisdom Teeth with ‘κρήνη της νύμφης’ as part of the ‘To Illustrate’ label compilation also featuring Nick Léon, Henzo, abentis and more.

Yetsuby released a solo EP called ‘Water Flash‘ this past July.

Ahead of ‘ashbalkum”s release, Salamanda spoke to Michael Lawson about the LP, forming the project during a Covid-19 lockdown, the Seoul music scene and more.

Facta and K-LONE produced a nearly two-hour label mix for DJ Mag’s The Sound Of: Wisdom Teeth feature. Listen back and read their interview with Eoin Murray here
