RONI announces debut EP featuring DJ Babatr, Bitter Babe, Ma Sha, more

RONI’s debut EP, titled ‘celestial’, is coming next month. Listen to lead single ‘amethyst’ below.

The Parisian Nehza Records founder presents nine new club-driven tracks incorporating Latin club, acid, breaks and other percussive sounds. She’s worked with a handful of collaborators on ‘celestial’, out 10th June, including raptor house figurehead DJ Babatr, Kindergarten Records‘ Ma Sha, Miami‘s Bitter Babe, Stockholm producer Peder Mannerfelt, Proxima head Audrey Danza and Smile Sessions’ JKS.  

“I wanted to imagine ‘celestial’ as a walk through the landscape of my mind and vision of club music”, RONI said in a press statement. “Until now, I was in the process of finding my musical flow, exploring and educating myself along the way. While producing ‘celestial’, I finally unlocked my inner flow, which I poured into the visual direction of the EP too… This time, I made the tracks for myself and for my sets as I play quite energetic and club-focused music.” 

She continued: “I’m now at a stage of my life where I want to be aligned and on point with my authenticity. I feel this EP has a poetic but focused touch. Taping into the feeling of being confident about life, myself as an artist and who I am more than ever.”

This is RONI’s first solo release on her own label, with previous releases landing on Fever AM, Rhythm Section and Borne Fruits.
