Richie Hawtin unveils Plastikman knitwear line with Swiss brand FRENCKENBERGER

Richie Hawtin has teamed up with Zurich-based fashion house FRENCKENBERGER to produce a limited edition run of knitwear featuring the famous Plastikman logo.

Among the clothing items featured in the 100% cashmere collection are sweaters, hats, mittens and double-blankets. Prices range from €170 to €3,200.

A statement shared via the webstore for the collection said the items have all been sustainably created in Inner Mongolia. “United by our combined love of refined minimalistic aesthetics and our appreciation of pure hypnotic electronic music, we are excited to offer this unique and limited time collaboration,” it added.

Hawtin returned to his ’90s alias Plastikman earlier this year to release a collaborative album with Chilly Gonzales called ‘Consumed In Key’. It featured reimaged versions of Hawtin’s classic Plastikman record ‘Consumed’, which originally came out in 1998.

He also debuted new Plastikman material during a Prada fashion show in early 2021 as part of Milan Fashion Week.
