Re:ni announces new EP, ‘Thousand Yard Stare’, on re:lax

re:ni is releasing a new EP, ‘Thousand Yard Stare’.

Landing on 25th October via re:lax — the label and club night the producer, DJ and radio host has run with Laksa since last year — the three-track EP’s title is inspired by the “the dissociative state we can find ourselves in as a result of trauma”.

The record explores “how music can capture emotions that words cannot,” and promises to push forward the “bass-driven, vocal-led 140-150bpm territory” of her previous release.

Check out the EP’s title track via Bandcamp below.

The label will also be hosting an all night b2b between re:ni and Laksa on 18th October at south London’s Ormside Projects. Pick up tickets for that here.

re:ni, real name Lauren Bush, made her Timedance debut earlier this year with the ‘BeautySick’ EP. Check out her Recognise mix and interview with DJ Mag here.
