Printworks announces full line-up for closing weekend

Printworks has announced the full line-up for its mammoth closing weekend, which is taking place from Friday 28th April until Monday 1st May.

Ranked number four in DJ Mag’s Top 100 clubs last year, Printworks first launched in 2017 and went on to develop a world-class reputation as one of London’s premier club spaces. Last September, the venue’s team and Broadwick Live Group announced its plan to shut for a “number of years” due to planned development at its Surrey Quays location.

For the closing extravaganza, Black Coffee is set to make his Printworks debut on the Friday (28th April) while Maya Jane Coles and Afro-house newcomer AMÉMÉ will also play that night. BBC Radio 1 Dance have invited guests including Danny Howard, Sarah Story, 1xtra DJ Jeremiah Asiamah and more.

Saturday’s (29th April) house-friendly line-up will host the likes of Camelphat, Stephan Bodzin, Adriatique, Mind Against plus Jimi Jules, Carlita, Cassian, Francesca Lombardo, Ivory and more.

Sunday’s (30th April) line-up promises to churn out the breaks with over 20 DnB, bass, jungle, garage-adjacent artists plus a special guest still to be announced. Sub Focus & Dimension & MC ID, Kings Of The Rollers and Inja will brush shoulders with the likes of TQD, p-rallel, MJ Cole, Elijah & Skilliam, 24 Hour Garage Girls, Mixtress and more.

On Monday (1st May), the one and only Peggy Gou will see out the weekend with a bang while other heavyweights such as Dixon, DJ Koze, HAAi, TSHA, Prospa are all set to play, in addition to a live set from Róisín Murphy. SHERELLE & I. JORDAN, Ahadadream, Shy One, Swoose, Trudy Knight, and Jennifer Loveless will be bringing the bass.

Tickets for the final four Printworks Closing Weekend shows are available via pre-sale now (exclusively to those who have signed up) from the Printworks site here.

“The Closing Weekend at Printworks is an opportunity for us to represent musically what the space has meant to so many people during the last six years,” said Ajay Jayaram, Broadwick Live’s director of music. “We’re looking forward to celebrating Printworks’ legacy, and what has been the venue’s role as a cultural stronghold for the electronic music community including artists, labels, DJs, live acts, visual artists and more.”

A new East London club from the team behind Printworks launched late last year. The Beams opened on 1st October with a party featuring Michael Bibi while Patrick Topping, Denis Sulta, and Honey Dijon have also taken to the decks.
