Premiere: Zoë Mc Pherson ‘Together We Ride’
Zoë Mc Pherson will release their new album, ‘Upside Down’, via their own SFX label next month. Listen to ‘Together We Ride’ below.
The Berlin-based French-Irish multimedia artist’s fourth album, which follows 2023’s ‘Pitch Blender’ LP and 2024’s ‘Chaos 3.0’ EP. Building on the mercurial club experiments, breakbeat contortions and intricate sound designs that have defined their previous releases, they serve up some of their most direct and impactful music to date, with lyrical vignettes tackling subjects including the “neoliberal war machine” and the need for people to “to work on their trauma”.
Following the release of the album’s first single, ‘Bang Bang’, you can now have an exclusive first listen to ‘Together We Ride’, a revved-up, trance-pop-infused slammer that taps into the recurring motorbike metaphor that veers across the tracklist while paying tribute to true love.
The album’s release will coincide with a tour that will see Mc Pherson play a run of hybrid live shows in China and Japan. A release show for the album will take place at a secret location in Berlin on 17th May. Keep up to date on their tour dates here.
‘Upside Down’ lands on 14th March. Pre-order it here.
