Premiere: SVNDS ‘Ceaseless’

Premiere: SVNDS ‘Ceaseless’

SVNDS return to Bogotá’s Furatena label this week with a new two-tracker, ‘Impermanence / Ceaseless’. Listen to ‘Ceaseless’ below.

After featuring on the label’s first-ever release back in 2021 with ‘Cybersymbiosis, the Manizales and Berlin-based duo come back with a double-header of atmospheric techno bolstered by the euphoric breakbeat and IDM flourishes that feel central to the Furatena ethos. Following recent releases including Robert Cosmic and Saigg’s intercontinental electro link-up, ‘Superficial Information’, and label founder Binary Algorithms’ driving, dub-infused techno EP, ‘Registers’, it’s a melodic jewel in the imprint’s crown.

‘Impermanence’ opens with field recordings of bird song and soft synths, before shuffling breaks and throbbing kickdrums pierce the atmosphere, giving way to a heaving bassline and a climactic lead melody. ‘Ceaseless’ keeps this momentum going, invoking the likes of Gacha Bakradze and Sam Goku with its melding of bubbling keys and featherlight pads with propulsive drums.

‘Impermanence / Ceaseless’ will be released on 26th July. You can buy it here.
