Premiere: shjva ‘You Must Let It Go’

shjva will release a new EP, ‘Metazone’, later this week via Viscera Transmissions. Have an exclusive first listen to ‘You Must Let It Go’ below.

In keeping with the late night themes of the labels VTD series, the Warsaw-based Ukrainian producer serves up three cuts of dark and slippery dub techno, alongside a remix from Dutch maestro eversines. The EP – landing tomorrow (Friday, 1st November) – follows the release of shjva’s latest record, ‘WAR1209’, earlier this year, which cemented her penchant for low-swung textures, trippy sonics and detail-heavy sound design.

Since moving to Poland from her native Lutsk almost eight years ago, shjva has become a key figure in Warsaw’s migrant electronic scene, hosting her TRANSERFING radio show and founding the PENUMBRUM label/party series as a home for exploratory sounds across the capital and beyond.

‘Metazone’ is set to land on London imprint Viscera, alongside recent releases from Manami, Latrec and Komodo, and the first two instalments of the label’s cosmic-inspired compilation series.

You can pre-order the EP here, and have an exclusive first listen to ‘You Must Let It Go’ below. Limited edition dubplates featuring the tracks ‘Polycaste’ and ‘You Must Let It Go’ will also be available via Bandcamp.
