Premiere: Sasha ‘How To Wear Raybans Well (Roman Flügel Remix)’

Sasha will release a new single later this week, alongside remixes from Nathan Fake and Roman Flügel. Listen to ‘How To Wear Raybans Well (Roman Flügel remix)’ below.

Grammy-nominated DJ and producer Sasha has been at the vanguard of dance music for over three decades, and in 2024, he’s still booked and busy. With recent tracks alongside Super Flu and Sentre under his belt, as well as the suave March solo release, ‘Fleuron Drift’, the four time Top 100 DJs award winner is back with a sharp-shooting new single. Out tomorrow (Friday, 29th August) on his Last Night On Earth imprint, the playfully titled ‘How To Wear Raybans Well’ is undoubtedly the work of a clubland vet, distilling crisp yet thundering drum work and fizzing dub chords into a melodic techno stomper.

The release is backed by two hefty remixes from fellow dancefloor heavyweights. Up first is Norfolk’s Nathan Fake who gives the original mix a stripped-back ’90s-styled makeover, ahead of a club-shaking flip from German techno purveyor, Roman Flügel, who introduces warming synth swells, cascading melodies and deep, intense drum pressure. Tip!

‘How To Wear Raybans Well’ is out tomorrow on Last Night On Earth. Pre-save the package here, and have an exclusive first listen to the Roman Flügel remix below.

In 2022, Sasha was awarded an honourary degree from his hometown university in Bangor, North Wales. Sasha took on his first DJ gig at Bangor University students’ union back in the late ’80s, and returned to play a one-off University club night in 2021.

Revisit our cover feature with Sasha, the original DJ cover star and the face of ’90s clubland success and excess.
