Premiere: Jaden Thompson ‘Downtown’

Jaden Thompson will release a new single, ‘Downtown’, later this week on Crosstown Rebels. Have an exclusive first listen below.

Marking his first solo outing on the label since 2022’s ‘Talking Walls’ alongside Seth Troxler, the fabric resident returns to Damian Lazarus’ imprint with a new groove-drenched solo cut, ‘Downtown’. Out tomorrow (28th June), the single taps into the storming tech house persuasions of Thompson’s recent mixes for Circoloco and Keinemusik, and stateside sets at Space Miami, with pitched-up male vocals, energy-charged synths, and pulsing metallic percussion.

“‘Downtown’ is a fusion of disco, house and garage,” Thompson shared on the cut. “It’s a fun record that has been blowing up many of my sets over the past few months.”

The package is rounded out by two killer remixes. First up is US house luminary HoneyLuv, who gives the original mix a jacking ’90s-styled makeover, ahead of a head-spinning flip from Manchester’s Ghoulish, who introduces flashing lasers, freaky textures and his trademark burly bassweight.

The release follows a spate of excellent releases from Thompson on labels including his own Midnight Parade imprint and Cuttin’ Headz, as he continues to establish himself as one of the UK’s brightest house talents.

‘Downtown’ is out 28th June via Crosstown Rebels. Pre-save the package here, and have an exclusive first listen to the original mix below.
