Premiere: Isaie ‘Psycho (Kiara Scuro & Tech Support Remix)’

A new remix package of Isaie’s 2022 mini-album, ‘Psycho’, is landing later this week. Have an exclusive first listen to Kiara Scuro & Tech Support’s remix of the title track below.

The dirgy, new-wave-inspired project – originally released on vinyl through Netherlands-based imprint, XXX – gets a dancefloor-focused facelift by four heavy-hitters from across the electronic spectrum.

Having commanded floors across the globe these past 12 months with their mind-melting club sets, London-based duo Kiara Scuro turn their hand to remixing for the first time in collaboration with UK producer, Tech Support.

On ‘Psycho’ reimagined, the crew trade Isaie’s punchy techno percussion and angst-riddled energy for mercurial, acid grooves that wriggle and writhe. Much of that signature dark energy remains, but it’s harnessed in a way that’s best suited to an early-hours basement rave. Think throbbing basslines and psyched-out synths anthropomorphised with meticulous attention to detail.

Other remixes on the package come from Running Back Records boss Gerd Janson – who played alongside Kiara Scuro at fabric’s 24+ Hours with Life and Death party this past weekend – as well as LA-based producer Eagles & Butterflies, and XXX label founders, SHMLSS.

‘Psycho Remixed’ is out 29th February via XXX. Pre-save the EP here, and have an exclusive first listen to Kiara Scuro & Tech Support’s remix of the title track below.
